ICCW performed Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GCMS) analysis of the water samples received from LG Home Appliances Global Research Centre, New Delhi. GCMS is an analytical method that combines the features of GCMS to identify different substances within a test sample. The method allows analysis and detection of tiny amounts of a substance in a given sample.
The LG sample analysis involved extraction of the analytes with the help of various solvent extraction protocols and purge-and-trap analysis. The process was completed in a period of one month.
