Mr M B Nirmal, a bank manager, is the founder and chairman of Exnora International which is a civic movement in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India – for dealing with environmental issues. It was recognized by the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements in 1996 as one of 100 Best Urban Practices around the world.
Nirmal is also an author of several books in Tamil and English; CDs and audio tapes; for social and individual development and on water. He is a recipient of many awards.
