Professor T. Pradeep appointed by Ministry of Jal Shakti as member of ‘Technical committee for examination and use of innovations and technologies in drinking water and sanitation sector’
A new ‘Technical committee for examination and use of innovations and technologies in drinking water and sanitation sector’ is reconstituted by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India on October 24, 2019. Professor T. Pradeep is invited to be a member of this committee for the ‘techno-economic appraisal of technologies in drinking water, sanitation, greywater management and sloid waste management.’ Government of India has launched the Jal Jeevan Mission to address a myriad of challenges in providing water connection to every rural household by the year 2024, conceiving solutions and assessing new technologies related to water, sanitation and waste management.
In view of these goals, the terms of the committee formed are defined for the next five years of action. Prof. Pradeep, with his innovations in water technologies, will help evaluate sustainable pathways for these goals.
