Ms Khadambari received her degree in Physics (honors with distinction) from the University of Madras. She is a “Gold medallist” and has secured University First Rank for her masters in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from NCNSNT, University of Madras. She was an awardee of “Aringnar Anna Endowment Merit Scholarship” from the University of Madras for her graduation and post-graduation. She was awarded merit-grant from Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology under Student Project Scheme for the year 2013-2014 for the work entitled “Formulation and in vitro evaluation of hyperthermia based transdermal drug delivery system of anti-skin cancer drug 5-fluorouracil”, carried out at Alternative Energy & Nanotechnology Laboratory (AENL), Department of Physics, IIT-Madras. She was an awardee of the prestigious Inspire fellowship from DST-Govt. India to pursue research.
She has worked at Nano Functional Materials Technology Centre (NFMTC), IIT Madras for her M.S. (by research) work entitled “Fabrication & Characterization of kesterite CZTS thin films by solution based processing technique for photovoltaic solar energy applications”, project funded by DST – Govt. of India, for which she has participated and presented her research papers in International conferences like “Nano Today-USA (2017),” and “I-DAD-2018,” and has excelled attaining Student travel awards, best poster awards, best paper awards with appreciations from the Director, IIT Madras.
Ms Khadambari is passionate to work and contribute towards environment-health & water conservation; to contribute through the outreach of science & technology, create an impact in their lives and for the welfare of environment through scientific research.
Apart from her academic expertise & profession Ms. Khadambari loves music, singing & dance. She is a social worker at Ashwin Maharaj Foundation for Cancer patients, WIA-Adyar, Chennai. She was the former student co-ordinator and the initiator for the Music therapy crew, a part of NSS-IIT Madras, serving and aiding cancer patients.
