Professor Ravindra Gettu is the Head, Building Technology and Construction Management Division and Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He was awarded for the ‘Outstanding Concrete Technology Award’ by the Indian Concrete Institute in 2010 and ‘Krishna Iyengar Award’ in 2011 by IIT Madras.
His interests are in the effective use of superplasticizers in concrete, study the behaviour of concrete with shrinkage reducing admixtures and characterization and application of self-compacting concrete.
