LIGY PHILIP
PROFESSOR
Professor Ligy Philip is a professor at the Environmental and Water Resources Division, Dept of Civil Engineering, at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. She was awarded the ‘Young Scientist Research Grant’ by DST in 2001.
Her research interests include
- Water treatment and Rural Water Supply
- Domestic and Industrial wastewater treatment with an emphasis on wastewater reuse and recycling
- Bioremediation of contaminated soils, air and water with heavy metals, pesticides and other hazardous organic compounds
- Air pollution monitoring
